Kintampo Municipal Health Directorate holds Annual Performance Review
Assessment has become an important tool in the healthcare delivery in the country and to make sure that this is achieved, the Techiman Municipal Health Services was at the Health Directorate to have a Holistic Assessment report for the Kintampo North Municipality using the Holistic Assessment Tool.

The programme was to brief stakeholders of the performance of the health sector in the 2022 under review and for the Municipal Health director Dr. Collins Boateng to hand over to Dr. Alfred Kwadwo Ampofo. He thanked all for their support given him in his stay in the Kintampo Municipality, despite having received a lot of criticisms which made him wake-up and work harder to achieve most of his goals and even receiving National honor and award he asked the same for his college to take over him.

Mr. Osei-Owusu Sadic the Municipal Health Information officer for Techiman South gave the holistic report undertaken on the Kintampo Municipal health facilities on PowerPoint presentation which their indicators were comparing 2021 and 2022 years under review.

Dr. Boateng in his opening speech threw light on holistic assessment tool which is to provide a framework for assessing the health sector comprehensively and holistically, He also gave a brief but well informed balanced and transparent assessment of the Kintampo Health sector’s performance and factors that are likely to influence this performance.


He added that, every holistic assessment helps us to think of patients holistically, that is we think of each patient as an individual.

Dr. Boateng Dankwa used the opportunity to thank all stakeholders and his hard working staff who supported him to achieve all targets most especially the Municipal Health Directorate becoming 2nd in the 2021 district holistic assessment ranking and all should still put all hands on deck to improve upon access and quality of health service delivery.

He also called upon the general public and most especially citizens of Kintampo Municipality to take up the challenge of infrastructural development of health facilities in the communities and their names would be affixed to those projects. Mr Owusu gave as the introduction of the whole assessment, method used, Municipal profile, both in parameter and strength, results of assessment.

In objective 1 (one), Universal access to better and efficient managed quality healthcare services was looked at, such as family planning acceptor rate, percentage skilled delivery, percentage of PNC registrants seen within 48 hours, proportion of newborns breastfed within 30 miles of birth, OPD per Capita. Objective 2 (two) of reducing avoidable maternal, adolescent and child deaths and disabilities which was also incident rate of diabetes and hypertension, maternal mortality ratio, stillbirth rate, penta 3 coverage, measles rubella 2 coverage.

Objective 3 (three) increases access to responsive clinical and public health emergency services etc.

Dr. Alfred Kwadwo Ampofo the new Municipal Health Director was introduced, sent off a presentation of citation to the outgoing director speeches by stakeholders, and some healthcare providers as well messages were given and photographs taken.
