This was made known at a forum organized by Ghana Anti-Corruption Coalition with funding from Open Society Initiative for West Africa.

The interactive forum was geared towards empowering community members to ask relevant questions and demand answers from selected staff of Mampong municipal assembly on selected projects and programmes initiated in 2017.

Participants were taken through the 2017 annual action plan with focus on health and education by assistant planning officer of the Mampong municipal assembly, Mr Opoku Ware.

Before the open forum section where participants were given the opportunity to express their opinion on governance at the local level, Miss Faustina Djabotey who is with the Communications Unit of Ghana Anti-Corruption Coalition called on the house to freely express their opinions on issues raised by the resource persons as it was an opportunity to demand accountability from the municipal officers who were in charge of resources for development at the local level.

Many of the concerns raised by the participants centered in the inadequate public education on programmes undertaken by the assembly. They noted that since they were stakeholders in nation building, it was imperative that, they were brought up to speed with happenings of the assembly.
