He said Ejura-Sekyedumase has one of the biggest market in the country, but the place is nothing to write home about with respect to modern facilities.

He indicated that he want to develop the market to the standard of a modern market to help bring development to the municipality.

He called on all prospective partners to be able to put up a modern market as soon as possible.

The MCE made the call in an exclusive interview with Ghanadistricts.com at a two day workshop organised by the Trustworks Consulting Limited in collaboration with the Office of Head of Local Government Service aimed at empowering MMDAs on project financing and access to global funds in order to achieve government policies for development.

He assured that there are great prospects of recouping whatever investment that would be done because the market already has large patronage.

The Ejura market he stated already has high international patronage by traders from Mali, Niger and Burkina Faso.

“Traders from Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger trade there very week, that is why we are calling on partners to help put up a modern infrastructure to attract more people to the market to make trading more conducive”, concluded the MCE.
