Jaman North DCE pays monitoring visit to SHSs in the district
The District Chief Executive for Jaman North, Adane Ankomah paid a working visit to secondary schools in the district to monitor all the protocols against Covid-19 as the final year students and form 2 Gold Track return to school last Monday.

The first school visited by the DCE was Sumaman Senior High at Suma Ahenkro where according to Mr. Johnson Kyeremeh-Assistant, Headmaster Administration said, the school has registered 450 students, and as at Monday, June 22, 2020, 51 female students and 51 male students have reported with all teaching staff present.

His next stop was Nafana Presbyterian Senior High (NASEC) at Sampa. The Headmistress of the school, Mrs. Rebecca Appiah Mensah updated the DCE by saying that, as at Monday, 157 final year students out of 416 had reported with 50 Gold students also present out of 329 students with 67 teaching staff out of 95 also present and 17 non-teaching staff of 34 also in attendance.



The situation was not different at the only vocational school in the district, that is Our Lady of Fatima (AVOTEC) where the headmaster of the school, Mr. Francsis Fei Anku said the school has registered 63 students for the National Vocational Exams and as at 22/06/2020, 31 students have reported with all 31 teaching staff present.

At Our Lady of Fatima Girls Senior High School, Rev Father Isaac Asante, as at the time only 5 find year students had has reported and hoping to get 89 students hopefully by the end of the week.



The Hon District Chief Executive ended his visit at the only private Senior High School in the district, Maranatha Business Senior High at Sampa and according to Mr. Obour Justice-Head of Academics, 18 candidates out of 250 has reported.

It was observed that all the schools visited are following all the laid down protocols, thus, wearing off face mask by both teachers and students, hand washing.
