The pupils initially had to foot far away from the area to the Koforidua Township before accessing education.

This worrying situation prompted the current government through the New Juaben Municipal Assembly to build a six unit ultra-modern classroom block with a library, a store and a two-seater KVIP toilet facility worth about one hundred and fifty-eight thousand Ghana cedis (GHC158,000.00) to facilitate basic education in the area.

The project was executed by Adom Mmobroso MBA Limited, a building construction company.

At a short ceremony to hand over the keys and the facility to the education unit, the New Juaben Municipal Chief Executive, Comfort Asante, charged the authorities to cultivate the habit of maintenance to prolong the life span of the facility to benefit future generations.

She said a JHS Block is also in progress to have a complete basic school facility in the area to ensure effective teaching and learning.

Madam Asante further stated that the assembly will not relent on its effort to add more facilities to ensure quality education.

Receiving the keys, the Municipal Director of Education, Bartholomew Kwame Ofori, commended government for the project adding that, it will go a long way to end education challenge in the area.

He charged the teachers to take proper care of the facility to fulfill its intended purpose.

The Former MP for New Juaben South Constituency, Beatrice Bernice Boateng, who initiated this whole idea underscored the importance of education and urged the parents to prioritize their wards’ education to become responsible adults in society.

She also advised them to support the school authorities to help develop the school to yield a fruitful result.

The seven month old school has about 186 enrollments with well trained teachers.
