Atwima Nwabiagya South MCE nominee endorsed after second attempt
The Atwima Nwabiagya South Municipal Assembly Members have voted for the second time to reconfirm the President Nominee Mr. Michael Awuku Amoah after he was previously rejected.

It will be recalled that Mr Amoah was rejected by Assembly members of the area after he secured only 19 YES votes out of 31 Assembly members who were present at the meeting and voted.

However, the nominee this time polled 23 ‘YES’ votes representing 74.19% while 8 voted ‘NO’ representing 25.81% out of the 31 assembly members who voted.
Mr. Awuku in his acceptance speech assured the people of his commitment to ensure that the developmental agenda he started is continued.

He seized the opportunity to thank the Assembly Members for the honour done to him and promised to accelerate development in the Municipality.

He then promised to collaborate with the assembly members and chiefs to create opportunities for the youth for the development of the area.

To grace the occasion was the Deputy Minister for lands and natural resources Mr. Benito Owusu Bio, Mr. Kwabena Nsenkyire the Ashanti Regional NADMO Director who represented the Regional Minister, Nananom and other dignitaries.
