Andrew Dari Chiwitey donates furniture to schools

The Member of Parliament for the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba Constituency, Mr. Chiwiitey Andrews Dari has donated furniture to schools in his Constituency through the District Education Directorate.

The MP, handed over Three Hundred (300) pieces of furniture to the District Director of Education for onward distribution to beneficiary schools.

Mr. Mahama Zakaria the Constituency vice chairman of the NDC made the donation on behalf of the Member of Parliament in the company with the Research Assistant, Mr. Maal-eong Thomas and the constituency communication officer, Mr. Ebaltey John.

This donation was made at the time that most learners in the schools virtually lie on bare floors during the teaching and learning process.

The Member of Parliament aside, the numerous calls to assist ameliorate the plight of the kids, he himself witnessed the sad situation in some schools during his Monitoring at the beginning of the Academic Year.

Mr. Yirnaa Nonti Mathew, public relations officer at the District Education Directorate received the furniture on behalf of the District Director of Education and thanked the MP for the kind gesture and assured that the items will be put into good use. He equally expressed his sincere appreciation to him for his unflinching support for education delivery in the district over the years.

Mr Yirna called on other stakeholders in the education delivery chain to follow the benevolent footsteps of the MP in order to improve learning outcomes in the district.
