Church of Pentecost holds marriage seminar for some 600 persons
The Atebubu Area of the Church of Pentecost has organized a day’s seminar on marriage for about 600 persons in Atebubu on the theme ‘marriage the Christian way’.

Participants were mainly pastors, deacons, deaconesses, and elders together with their spouses drawn from the Atebubu zone comprising: Low Cost, Highways, Ahemfie, Jato Zongo, Amantin and Prang

According to the Atebubu Area Head of the church, Apostle Kenneth Baffoe Antwi who was also the main speaker, it has become important to examine and understand the biblical position on marriage in order to stem the increasing rate of divorce in the area adding that marriage should be between 2 matured and consenting adults.



He said as officers of the church, it is incumbent on participants to lead exemplary marriage lives so as to be able to lead their flock appropriately.

Topics treated include: marriage as an institution ordained by God, types of marriage, spousal responsibilities, pre-marital sex and factors leading to divorce in contemporary times.

Some participants expressed their gratitude to the church for the new insights which they felt will impact positively on their personal marriage lives as well as help guide others.
