The Municipal Chief Executive for Krowor Hon Joshua Nii Bortey led Management and Staff of the Krowor Municipal in collaboration with 234 members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints to clean the Central Business Area in the Krowor Municipality.
The “Operation Clean Krowor”, an initiative which is being championed by the Greater Accra Regional Coordinating Council under the Greater Accra Regional Minister, Henry Quartey, seeks to make it obligatory for all individuals and corporate entities to be responsible for the cleaning and greening of their immediate surroundings.
The campaign officially took off the forecourt of the Nungua Traditional Authority, the Nungua Sokpoti Central Market and the Nungua Transport Terminal and its surrounding drains.
Chief Executive of the Krowor Assembly Joshua Nii Bortey, who spoke to the media after the exercise, urged residents and traders in the Municipality to participate fully in the initiative as it would help in achieving the dream of making Krowor clean.
He also urged commercial vehicle drivers who load at unauthorised locations in the Municipality to move into the lorry stations to avoid unnecessary traffic congestion in the area adding that offenders would be dealt with and that Operation Clean Your Frontage continues unabated in Krowor.
