NADOWLI-K: Eight new projects in the offing

The Nadowli-Kaleo District Assembly will in the next one month award 8 different projects to help in uplifting development in the district.

The tender committee on 13th May, 2018 sat on tender documents to approve for the awards of 8 contracts across the district.

The assembly will be constructing

• A magistrate court with a mechanized borehole in Nadowli,

• A District Fire Service Station with a mechanized borehole also in Nadowli,

• One semi-detached teachers quarters at Da-Uri,

• Rehabilitation of a 1No. Agricultural Extension Service staff quarters at Charikpong,

• Furnishing of CHPS compounds at Meguo, Biire and Kpangadinga,

• Supply of 100 mono desks and teachers’ furniture for Sankana Model Girls JHS,

• Extension of electricity to CHPS compounds at Nator, Loho, Goli and Tangasia and

• Rehabilitation of 1No. Agricultural Extension Services staff quarters at Sankana.

In her address, the District Chief Executive, Katherine T. Lankono, called on all prospective contract winners to do quality job as she will not accept any shoddy work in the district.

According to her all the contracts will be funded from the District Development fund, DDF.

The DCE said the contracts are part of her plans to get the district develop and attain a municipal status by 2020. She said the district has a lot of potentials and when giving municipal status it will help attract investors in the district.

She commended the president Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo for releasing GHS 701.933.00 as DDF for the various projects to be executed across the district.

Hon Katherine said the tender documents will now be taking to the Assembly Tender Evaluation committee and finally they will be awarded.
