Oil exploration to begin in Nkwanta North - DCE
The District Chief Executive (DCE) of Nkwanta North Mr. Jakayi Kwame Jackson has hinted that the search for oil in large quantity for exploration will soon begin in the District.

The DCE addressing members at a Town hall meeting informed his people of the presence of officials from Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) in the District to carry out the oil exploration, and appealed to chiefs and people to commit the activities into prayers for a success so that Nkwanta North becomes an oil producing district.
He therefore asked the people to have confidence in the government to fix all the bad roads including the Eastern Corridor roads.
