Two early childhood education centers commissioned in West Mamprusi

Two early childhood education centers and auxiliary facilities have been commissioned and handed over to Walewale and Nayorku communities at West Mamprusi Municipality in the North East Region

The projects were implemented by AG CARE and CHILDREN BELIEVE, with funding from CHILDFUND KOREA and KOICA (Korea International Cooperation Agency).

The North East Regional Minister, Mr. Yidana Zakaria at the ceremony commended the NGOs for the initiative adding that two similar facilities have also been built at Burugu and Zarantinga in the East Mamprusi Municipality.

“These laudable interventions by the aforementioned NGOs are to provide conducive and child-friendly learning environments for children especially, at the kindergarten level“, he said

The minister extended a profound gratitude on behalf of the Chiefs and People of the North East region to the NGOs for the benevolent gesture, and urged them to replicate their support in many other communities in the region.

Mr. Zakaria therefore called on the community members, teachers and pupils to protect and preserve the buildings for the benefit of many generations, and to put the facilities to good use.
