MP, DCE present 100 beds, mattresses to schools
The Assin South Member of Parliament (MP) Rev. John Ntim Fordjour in collaboration with the District Chief Executive (DCE) for the area, Felicia Ntrakwa Amissah has presented 100 student mattresses and 100 metal beds to schools within the District.

At a short ceremony, the MP who doubles as a deputy minister for education said, investing in the future of the students is critical to the future of these kids in our collective quest to improve access to quality education.

He commended chiefs for their enormous contributions and steadfastness in supporting the school to improve the enrollment drive of the schools.  


The also promised to resource the schools under his jurisdiction to enhance the academics performance of the schools; stating that "Many transformations are about to take place in the schools and others within the District".

The DCE in her brief address encouraged the beneficiary schools to take good care of these items so as to achieve the ultimate aim of improving access in the school.

In attendance were Mr. Ransford Appiah, District Education Director, Mr. Sylvester Awuku, Coordinating Director and Heads of Departments.
