More roads to receive attention in the Ga East Municipality

It is increasingly becoming easy to ply most roads in the Ga East Municipality following some significant interventions in improving the road infrastructure in the municipality.

This obviously is a delight to the Municipal Chief Executive, Madam Elizabeth Kaakie Mann who asserts that their role as leaders is to improve infrastructure and to lessen the burdens of citizens.

She said with support from various ends including the government, the Member of Parliament, and their own Internally Generated Fund (IGF), they have been able to give facelift to a number of roads with some completed and others ongoing.

These include the resealing of Abokobi Town roads; Taifa-Bankyease-Main Station-Obohene area inner roads; Taifa-Burkina-Bankyease inner roads; construction of a bridge to link Ga East and Ga North Municipalities at the Kristo Asafo down Taifa; ongoing road works at Pure Water; and ongoing drainage construction along the Abokobi-Sesemi road through the Assembly’s office, among others.

The MCE also assured that other equally important roads; such as the Abokobi-Teiman; Abokobi-Boi; Haatso ECOMOG; among others will soon receive attention. "Specifically, the contractor for the Abokobi-Teiman road is currently on another project at Taifa and is expected to move to site in a couple of months".
