The Chief Executive for Ahafo Ano North District Assembly, Mr. David Addai Amankwah has pledged government’s relentless support for nurses and midwives to enable them deliver their best in saving lives in the area.

The Chief Executive for Ahafo Ano North District Assembly, Mr. David Addai Amankwah has pledged government’s relentless support for nurses and midwives to enable them deliver their best in saving lives in the area.

According to him, government was tirelessly working around the clock to ensure that health facilities across the country are provided with the requisite equipment and infrastructure to boost their daily operations as far as health delivery is concern.

Mr. Amankwah made this known when speaking in an interview with ghanadistricts.com after joining the celebration of a weeklong annual Nurses and Midwives programme in the district.

He took the opportunity to counseled health personnel in the district to deploy various modern-day means of health delivery systems as some African countries have already adopted in saving lives.

The DCE however mentioned a host of infrastructural developments undertaking by the assembly to improve health delivery in the area. He further noted that the assembly has already awarded on contract the construction of a new administration block for the District Health Directorate.

He said the project is expected to kick-start as soon as District Assembly’s Common funds are released.

He further revealed that the assembly was keen to ensure fair share of infrastructure development in all sectors including education, health, roads, agriculture and security to ensure a matching forward of the district.
