MCE celebrate Akwasidae with two communities

A team from Asante Akim South, led by the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Mr Alexander Frimpong last weekend joined the chiefs and people of Obogu and Juaso to commemorate this year’s Akwasidae.

Speaking at a mini-durbar, the MCE took the opportunity to inform the people of government’s commitment to improve livelihoods, adding that some the government had already rolled out some policies to help mitigate poverty in the area.

He noted that the Assembly has taken steps to complete all ongoing projects in order to help commence new ones.

Mr Frimpong also took time to explain some of government’s programme and polices to the chiefs and people of the area.

However, speaking in an exclusive interview with Ghanadistricts.com, Mr. Alexander Frimpong expressed gratitude to the chiefs of the area for the warm reception shown him and other officials of the assembly.

The Assembly, he added, will always endeavour to participate in subsequent gatherings.
