CISS is leading in innovation that has a positive impact on climate change.

Mr. Alhassan Abdulai Iddi, Field Coordinator of CISS, explained that the damming effects of the use of chemicals in farming have been grossed over living individuals exposed to risk health and the effects of smoke on human lungs have least been discussed.

CISS, therefore, seeks to find solutions to livelihood challenges; hence the use of innovation to turn waste generated at home into organic manure for farming through composite bins and energy saving stoves with chimneys that reduces the risk of lung infections.

Mr. Ibrahim Amadu, Consultant to CISS, took a turn to explain to the beneficiaries how the composite bins work and its benefits in improving sustainable livelihood.

On the part of the District Chief Executive of Kintampo South District Assembly, Opoku Nyame encouraged beneficiaries to make good use of the composite bins and energy saving stoves, which will help beneficiaries make savings on the amount of money used to purchase inorganic fertilizer for farming and fuel for cooking meals at home.

He noted that when successful, the district assembly will seek funds to procure the innovation for people in other parts of the district to improve the economic fortunes of the people and promote climate change for sustainable development.
