KMA presents 500 desks to 11 basic Schools in the Metropolis
The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) has presented 500 desks to 11 basic schools within the metropolis to improve the educational system and encourage efficient learning.

Some of the beneficiary schools are State Experimental M /A 1 and 2, Opoku Ware M/A Primary, Sokoban Methodist Primary and JHS, St. Augustine's Anglican Primary, Wesco Demonstration, St. Paul's R/C Primary, Adum Presby JHS and others.

The project according to the Mayor Mr. Samuel Pyne was initiated last year where over 4000 desks have been distributed so far.
He further advised the beneficially schools to adopt a maintenance culture so that funds can be channeled to other projects within the schools.

Madam Rebecca Osei Tutu, a representative from the Metropolitan Education Directorate acknowledged the efforts of the Assembly to schools in the metropolis and promised that the basic schools would take good care of the furniture received.
