Offinso North discovers new waterfalls at Asubima
The Offinso North District Assembly has discovered a new waterfall at Asubima which is hoped will help boost tourism in the district.

The District Chief Executive of the area, David Kwasi Asare Boakye indicated that the waterfalls is in the Asubima Forest Reserve which also forms part of Ghana plantation in the district.
He added that the newly discovered waterfalls is rich in nature and also potential tourism promotions.
He made this known when he toured the forestry reserve with some heads of department and the District Coordinating Director.
The DCE in his address indicated that in collaboration with the Member of Parliament for the Area, Collins Ntim they would come together with the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Art and Wildlife Conservation under the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources to access its usage to create employment and also boost the assembly’s revenues.
He also used the occasion to appeal to the Offinso Forestry Commission to enlighten the forest guards to be vigilant at the forest reserve not allowing any illegal chainsaw operators and the public at large to encroach the area. He states emphatically that anyone found guilty would be punished.
