Achiase Assembly Distributes 30,000 Oil Palm Seedlings to Farmers
The Achiase District Assembly, through its Department of Agriculture, has distributed 30,000 oil palm seedlings to farmers across the district as part of efforts to promote commercial agriculture, improve livelihoods and stimulate local economic development.

The initiative forms part of the Assembly’s commitment to supporting farmers with quality planting materials to increase agricultural productivity and encourage long-term investment in oil palm cultivation.
The distribution is expected to provide farmers with the necessary planting materials to establish and expand oil palm farms, while contributing to increased household incomes and employment opportunities within the district.
During the exercise, officers from the Department of Agriculture educated beneficiary farmers on appropriate planting and farm management practices to ensure healthy crop development and improved yields.
The farmers expressed appreciation to the Achiase District Assembly and the Government for the intervention, describing the timely provision of the seedlings as a significant boost to their farming activities.
The Assembly noted that the initiative is part of broader efforts to strengthen the agricultural sector and create sustainable economic opportunities for residents.
The Achiase District Assembly reaffirmed its commitment to implementing programmes that promote agricultural productivity, enhance food security, create employment opportunities and improve the socio-economic well-being of residents across the district.
