The visit formed part of efforts to address the challenges confronting the community and ensure that pupils have access to a safe and conducive learning environment.

Mr Nassir assured residents that education remained a priority for the Assembly and pledged to fast-track the completion of the stalled three-unit classroom block to provide permanent accommodation for teaching and learning.

In the interim, the DCE, in consultation with community leaders, said arrangements had been made to temporarily relocate classes to a nearby church to ensure that academic activities continued without interruption.

The DCE also visited the new Vutideke settlement, where he assessed the pressing infrastructure needs of the growing community.

As part of efforts to improve conditions in the area, Mr Nassir donated streetlights to enhance visibility and security. He also pledged to facilitate the construction of a borehole and a new school block to serve residents of Vutideke and neighbouring communities.
