He made the remarks during a farewell reflection and retirement ceremony for Mr. Felix Nteege Faatah, the outgoing Pru West District Director of Education. The event, organized by the Ahafo, Bono, and Bono East Regional Education Directorates, brought together dignitaries, family, and loved ones to honor the retiring educator.

A Call to Faithful Service

Drawing from scripture, Rev. Father Effa Stephen described a "good and faithful servant" as one who consistently uses their God-given gifts and opportunities to please Him. He outlined key qualities of such a servant:

  • Faithfulness to God
  • Responsibility and diligence
  • Selflessness in service
  • Trustworthiness
  • Honesty

He quoted Ecclesiastes 3 and Matthew 25:23 to reinforce his message, urging leaders to remain steadfast in their duties.

DCE: "Retirement Is Not the End"

Hon. Samuel Agyapong, the Pru West District Chief Executive, praised Mr. Faatah’s contributions and offered words of encouragement.

“This is retirement, but it is not the end of your usefulness,” Hon. Agyapong said. “It is the beginning of another chapter — a season to mentor, advise, and continue contributing to national development in new ways.”

He added, “May your legacy continue to shine in Ghana’s educational history.”

Regional Directors Hail a Visionary Leader

On behalf of the Bono East Regional Directorate of Education, Rev. Father Kingsley Dwamena Asante extended gratitude to Mr. Faatah for his meritorious service and unwavering commitment to public education.

“Throughout your tenure, you navigated complex administrative challenges with grace, integrity, and wisdom,” Rev. Father Dwamena Asante said. “Beyond your official duties, you have been an outstanding mentor, a dedicated public servant, and a pillar of the community.”

A Legacy of Hard Work and Selflessness

Mr. Isaac Budu, Director of the Atebubu Amantin Municipal Education Directorate and Chairman of CODE for the Ahafo, Bono, and Bono East regions, praised Mr. Faatah’s enduring impact.

“His legacy of hard work and selflessness will continue to inspire present and future generations of educators and administrators,” Mr. Budu stated. “As you transition into this new chapter, we wish you well-deserved rest, continued good health, and abundant joy.”
