Today's exercise was particularly remarkable, as people from all walks of life turned out in large numbers to support the national call for a cleaner and healthier environment. The overwhelming participation demonstrated the unity, commitment, and shared responsibility of the people of West Akim towards improving sanitation and promoting public health.

The clean-up exercise, which forms part of the Government's commitment to fostering environmental cleanliness and creating healthier communities, saw participants desilting choked drains, sweeping public spaces, collecting refuse, and clearing weeds from selected locations across the municipality.

Speaking after the exercise, I expressed my sincere appreciation to H.E. President John Dramani Mahama for championing this laudable initiative, which continues to inspire citizens to take collective responsibility for keeping their communities clean.

I also commended the Assembly staff, security agencies, market women, residents, youth groups, and both public and private sector institutions for their enthusiastic participation and support, which contributed immensely to the success of today's exercise.

Together, we can build a cleaner, healthier, and more resilient West Akim for the benefit of present and future generations.
