ATEBUBU: Jibril Mosque opens

The magnificent edifice named the ‘Jibril mosque’ which took about two and half years to complete is 75x150 feet in size with a roof top designed to accommodate worshippers.
The building was funded by the Buluki family of the United Arab Emirates through a philanthropist and Islamic scholar Dr. Nuhu Zakaria a native of Atebubu who is domiciled in the UAE.
The opening ceremony attracted Muslim scholars and clerics from all walks of life including Alhaji Abdul Rahman Mohammed Buluki from the UAE who apart from being the special guest had the honor of cutting the tape to formally open the facility.
The 5000 capacity fully air-conditioned Jibril Central Mosque
Various speakers including at the function called for unity, peace and love among Muslims praising Dr. Zakaria for his industry and the Buluki family for their philanthropism and asked for Allah’s blessings for them.
The function was attended by the Member of Parliament for the Atebubu-Amantin constituency Honorable Kofi Amoakohene, the District Chief Executive Mr. Edward Owusu, traditional authorities and clergy from the Christian faith.
