The District Chief Executive for Atwima Mponua, Hon. Issahak Ibrahim, announced the development on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, attributing the opportunity to collaboration with Ghana’s Ambassador to Türkiye, H.E. Sheikh Abdul Nasir-Deen, a native of Atwima Mponua.
According to the DCE, the collaboration has secured five scholarship opportunities for promising young people from the district.
He disclosed that two of the beneficiaries had already secured their visas and departed Ghana on Saturday, September 26, while another beneficiary is expected to travel in February 2027.

“This is exactly why I continue to cast my net as widely as possible, seeking opportunities and partnerships that can positively transform the lives of the people I proudly serve,” he stated.
The DCE congratulated the beneficiaries and urged them to remain disciplined, focused and committed to academic excellence.
He expressed the hope that their achievements would inspire other young people in Atwima Mponua to pursue higher education and take advantage of opportunities available to them.
