The programme saw a visit to selected schools across the district by the District Chief Executive and the District Director of Education, where they interacted with the young learners and shared words of encouragement with them.
The excitement was evident on the faces of the children as they took their first steps into the classroom and experienced formal schooling for the first time.

The pupils were encouraged to stay in school, take their studies seriously and remain committed to learning, with education described as a key pathway to a brighter and more promising future.
Parents, teachers and school authorities were also urged to provide the children with the care, encouragement and support needed to help them adjust to school, develop their abilities and remain motivated throughout their educational journey.

The engagement forms part of efforts to promote quality basic education, school enrolment and retention while creating a supportive environment for children across Atwima Mponua.
For the district, the message is clear: every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow and realise their full potential—and that journey begins with a strong first step into school.
