The facilities to be commissioned include a new kindergarten block at Anlo State School and a three-unit classroom block with an accompanying store at Atiavi-Atime.

Mr Wonder Setsoafia Deynu, Keta Constituency NDC Deputy Communications Officer, said the two facilities had been fully furnished with the necessary auxiliary facilities, as well as teaching and learning materials, and were ready for immediate use by pupils and teachers.

He said the completion of the two projects within a year and a half represented a significant development in efforts to improve education in the Municipality.

"The delivery of the two projects within a year and a half is a significant achievement for education in the area. We are extending an invitation to the public to witness the commissioning to boost education in the area," he said.

He explained that the commissioning ceremony at Anlo State School was scheduled for 1000 hours, while the ceremony at Atiavi-Atime would follow at 1400 hours.

He said invitations would be extended to various stakeholders, as well as residents of Abutiakorpe, Atiavi and the entire Keta Municipality, to attend the ceremonies and celebrate the addition of the facilities to the area's educational infrastructure.

Mr Deynu said Mr Kwame Dzudzorli Gakpey, Member of Parliament for Keta, and Mr Wisdom Seade, Municipal Chief Executive for Keta, were among the dignitaries expected to attend the commissioning ceremonies.

He said members of the NDC, together with constituency and branch executives, would also join the two leaders to express appreciation to the people of the Keta Municipality for their support during the 2024 general elections.

Mr Deynu said education stakeholders in the Municipality had, over the years, called for improved infrastructure in schools, particularly kindergarten and basic school facilities, to create conducive learning environments for young learners.

He said the completion of the kindergarten block at Anlo State School and the classroom block at Atiavi-Atime was expected to ease congestion in classrooms and improve the quality of teaching and learning in the beneficiary communities.

Mr Seth Dosu, a resident of one of the beneficiary communities, expressed appreciation for the new facilities, describing them as a relief that would directly benefit pupils who had previously studied under difficult conditions.

He said the commissioning ceremonies were expected to bring together government officials, traditional authorities, schoolchildren, teachers and residents as the Keta Municipality marked another milestone in its educational development agenda.
