The support, provided by the Ismat Foundation in collaboration with the Atwima Mponua District Assembly, included school backpacks, textbooks and toiletries to help the beneficiaries make a smooth transition into the next stage of their education.

Interestingly, 13 of the 17 beneficiaries are female, a development that highlights the strong academic progress being made by girls in the district while also drawing attention to the need for renewed efforts to support boys to improve their educational performance.

Addressing the beneficiaries, the Assembly urged the students to take their education seriously, remain disciplined and committed to their studies, and make the most of the opportunities ahead of them.

The Assembly further assured the students that it would continue to provide the necessary support to help them navigate their educational journey and achieve their aspirations.

As part of efforts to bridge the emerging gender gap in educational progression, the Atwima Mponua District Assembly is expected to develop and implement appropriate measures to ensure that both boys and girls have equal opportunities to excel academically.

The initiative also underscores the importance of collaboration among the Ismat Foundation, District Assembly, parents, teachers and other education stakeholders in promoting quality education and supporting promising students.

The support comes as a timely boost for the 17 young achievers as they take their next step towards their future, with the district reaffirming its commitment to investing in education and nurturing the next generation of leaders.
