The projects, which cover education, health and water infrastructure, form part of the Assembly's commitment to addressing essential development needs and bringing basic social services closer to communities.

Among the projects commissioned was a six-unit classroom block at Gomoa Obuasi. The facility comes with washroom facilities for both teachers and pupils, as well as an office for the headteacher to support effective school administration and improve the teaching and learning environment.

At Gomoa Afransi, the Assembly also commissioned a newly constructed three-unit classroom block to provide additional classroom space and improve learning conditions for pupils in the community. The educational facilities are expected to help address infrastructure gaps in the beneficiary schools, reduce pressure on existing classrooms and provide a more conducive environment for academic activities.

In the health sector, the Assembly commissioned health-related infrastructure intended to improve access to essential medical services for residents within the district. The interventions form part of broader efforts to strengthen healthcare delivery, particularly at the community level.

The provision of boreholes was also highlighted among the development interventions undertaken by the Assembly to improve access to potable water in beneficiary communities.

Access to safe drinking water remains an important aspect of community development, with the intervention expected to reduce the difficulties residents face in obtaining water for their daily activities. The commissioning of the projects reflects the Assembly's continued focus on investing in social infrastructure and improving the availability of essential services across Gomoa Central.

The projects are also expected to contribute to improved educational outcomes, better healthcare access and enhanced living conditions for residents.
