The exercise, brought together key stakeholders, including the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Effah Osei Bonsu David, traditional authorities, the Assembly Member for Kwahu Praso No. 2, Hon. Alex Konadu, Assembly Members, staff of the Assembly, Environmental Health Officers, and residents of the community.

The clean-up exercise focused on improving sanitation within the community through activities such as sweeping principal streets, clearing choked drains, weeding overgrown areas, and collecting and disposing of refuse from public spaces.

Demonstrating leadership and commitment to the cause, Hon. Effah Osei Bonsu David actively participated in the exercise by personally engaging in weeding and clearing overgrown areas alongside community members. His efforts were equally supported by Hon. Alex Konadu and the traditional authorities, who joined residents in ensuring the success of the exercise.

Addressing participants after the exercise, the MCE commended residents for their active involvement and emphasized the importance of maintaining clean surroundings to safeguard public health and prevent sanitation-related diseases.

He further urged residents to take personal responsibility for environmental cleanliness by adopting good sanitation practices and setting aside at least one day every month to organize community clean-up exercises.

According to him, sustaining such initiatives would not only enhance the beauty of communities but also contribute significantly to creating a healthier and safer environment for all residents.

The National Sanitation Day exercise forms part of the Assembly's broader efforts to promote environmental sustainability, improve public health, and foster a culture of cleanliness throughout the municipality.
