N JUABEN: Road safety and health screening campaign for drivers, hawkers begins
A 16-day road safety and health screening campaign for drivers and hawkers in the New Juaben Municipality of the Eastern Region has commenced.

The programme, which was initiated by the National Road safety Commission and the Motor Traffic & Transport Department (MTTD) of the Ghana Police Service is aimed at educating drivers and hawkers about safety systems to help save lives.
They are also expected to go through some health screening on certain life-threatening diseases.
Speaking at the programme opening, Eastern Regional Drivers and Vehicle License Authority Manager, Mr Eric Addison urged the two groups to be each other keeper to saves lives on the roads.
Alhaji Muniru Alhassan, GPRTU Welfare Officer - New Juaben Municipality on his part applauded the education, adding that the programme will help drivers learn more about safety programmes to enhance accident free to save lives.
