The GH¢3.7 million project was undertaken following a request by the Paramount Chief of the Lower Axim Traditional Area, His Royal Majesty Dr. Awulae Attibrukusu III, to provide a safe and conducive working environment for education officials.

The intervention forms part of the Mine’s commitment to supporting quality education and improving critical educational infrastructure in its host communities.

At the official handover ceremony, traditional leaders, government officials, representatives of the Ghana Education Service and community members toured the new facility and commended Iduapriem Mine for its investment in education.

The project also forms part of the Mine’s broader Education and Youth Development Programme, under which approximately GH¢17.2 million was invested in 2025 to expand educational opportunities and improve infrastructure.

In recognition of the Mine’s contribution, the Axim community, led by His Royal Majesty Dr. Awulae Attibrukusu III, together with the Nzema East Municipal Education Office, presented a citation of appreciation to the Managing Director and employees of Iduapriem Mine.

The commissioning marks another significant contribution towards strengthening educational administration and creating a safer working environment for education officials in the Nzema East Municipality.
