Upper Denkyira West: Telecom Network Projects Are Not MP's Initiative – NDC Executives
Date Created : 11/5/2026 : Story Author : Oheneba Kesse Brempong-Asare/Ghanadistricts.com
According to the Constituency Chairman, claims that the MP is behind the network projects are "false, misleading, and a deliberate attempt to take credit for work he has not done."
The executives clarified the following:
- Every major project currently ongoing in the constituency, especially the telecommunications network expansion, is being initiated by the NDC Government under the leadership of His Excellency John Dramani Mahama.
- At the local level, it is the hardworking District Chief Executive (DCE) who is championing and facilitating these projects to ensure communities get connected.
- The MP has contributed nothing to these projects and has shown no commitment to the development of the constituency.
Upper Denkyira West NDC Chairman Hon. Joseph Mawuley Golomeke — described as the youngest chairman within the NDC in the country — expressed disappointment that the DCE, Hon. Isaac Nsiah, has been "too soft and accommodating" towards the MP and his NPP party members, allowing them to "ride on the back of government's good works to deceive our people." He called on the DCE to be firm and ensure credit is given where it is due.
The party's Secretary emphasised that the newly elected NDC Executives urge all residents, opinion leaders, chiefs, youth groups, and the media to disregard propaganda suggesting the MP, Hon. Rudolph, is behind the network projects. "The truth is clear: It is the NDC Government and the DCE," he stated.
"We in Upper Denkyira West Constituency remain committed to truth, accountability, and the genuine development of our constituency," the Secretary, Hon. Isaac Sunyan, added.
Executives Pledge to Deliver Seat in 2028
The newly elected executives of the NDC in the Upper Denkyira West Constituency have pledged their total commitment to delivering the Parliamentary seat to the NDC in the 2028 general elections.
Speaking at their first Constituency Executives meeting at Domenase in the Upper Denkyira West District, the executives assured party members, especially the youth, that a new era of hard work, unity, and accountability has begun in the constituency.
They outlined three key commitments:
Deliver Victory in 2028: Work tirelessly, from the polling station level to the constituency level, to ensure the NDC wins the Member of Parliament seat in Upper Denkyira West.
- Empower the Youth: Empower the youth in a better and more meaningful way through skills training, support, and inclusion in party activities and decision-making.
- Create Job Opportunities: Work closely with the NDC government and stakeholders to help secure job vacancies and opportunities for the youth and members of the constituency.
The executives called on all members, supporters, and sympathisers to remain united, disciplined, and committed to the party, stressing that victory in 2028 is possible if everyone plays their part.
Chairman Golomeke thanked the delegates for the confidence reposed in them and promised not to disappoint the constituency.
