Speaking on the floor of Parliament on Thursday to commemorate World Children’s Day, Madam Ntoso emphasised the importance of recommitting to efforts that ensure children’s safety, dignity, and opportunities to achieve their full potential.

The Krachi West legislator noted that children must not only be protected but also valued as active participants in society.

“It is imperative that the voices of children are heard every day and that we guarantee their safety,” she said.

The World Children’s Day is observed annually on November 20, to promote the rights and well-being of children across the globe.

The day highlights the significance of education, health, and protection in nurturing the next generation.

This year’s celebration is being marked on the theme: “My Day, My Rights”, which calls attention to the needs of children and on the need for children to be recognized as rights holders and for their perspectives to shape policies and decisions affecting them.

Madam Ntoso urged all stakeholders to work collectively to create an environment where children could thrive, stressing that protecting their rights was fundamental to building a just and prosperous society.
