Shai-Osudoku District Launches Okada Riders Association in Dodowa

The Shai-Osudoku District Assembly, in collaboration with Excellent Generation Ambition for a Good Future, has officially launched the Shai-Osudoku Okada Riders Association at Dodowa.

The launch, held on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, marked a significant step towards promoting organization, professionalism, and responsible commercial motorcycle operations within the district.

The initiative seeks to bring commercial motorcycle riders under a unified association to enhance coordination, improve road safety, and strengthen collaboration between riders, the District Assembly, and other key stakeholders.

Speaking at the event, the District chief Executive (DCE) Ignatius Godfred Dordoe emphasized the importance of the association in promoting discipline, compliance with road traffic regulations, and the welfare of riders. They noted that the platform would also facilitate education on road safety, riders' rights and responsibilities, and other issues affecting the commercial motorcycle transport sector.

The collaboration between the Shai-Osudoku District Assembly and Excellent Generation Ambition for a Good Future reflects a shared commitment to empowering young people, improving livelihoods, and fostering safer transportation services across the district.

Members of the newly launched association expressed their appreciation for the initiative and pledged to uphold professionalism, operate responsibly, and work collectively to improve the image of commercial motorcycle transport in the Shai-Osudoku District.
