The fire destroyed the apartment of the school's House Master. Students attempted to contain the blaze before personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service arrived, during which one person sustained injuries.

Presenting the items, the Afadzato South District Director of NADMO, Mr. Maxwell Worlanyo Korkutse, said the donation was intended as immediate assistance to help the victim recover from the devastating incident and ease the challenges resulting from the fire.

The relief package included mattresses, blankets, bags of rice, and cooking oil to support the victim's immediate needs.

Mr. Korkutse explained that the intervention formed part of NADMO's mandate to provide timely humanitarian assistance to disaster victims while further assessments are conducted to determine whether additional support is required.

He reaffirmed the organisation's commitment to assisting disaster victims and ensuring affected persons receive the necessary support to rebuild their lives.

Mr. Korkutse also urged the public to observe fire safety measures, comply with safety regulations, and promptly report emergencies to help reduce the occurrence and impact of disasters in their communities.
