The newly completed six-unit classroom block is expected to provide a conducive environment for teaching and learning, reduce overcrowding and enhance educational outcomes for pupils in the community.
The CHPS compound, which was initiated by previous administrations and successfully completed under the current leadership, is set to bring healthcare services closer to residents and improve access to essential medical care.
Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, the DCE emphasized the importance of continuity in governance and development, noting that the successful completion of the health facility demonstrates a collective commitment to improving the welfare of the people regardless of when projects are initiated.
To further strengthen healthcare delivery at the facility, the DCE donated essential medical equipment and presented a motorcycle to support the work of health personnel and improve outreach services within the community.
The intervention is expected to enhance healthcare accessibility, facilitate emergency response and support the efforts of health workers in serving surrounding communities.
Residents and community leaders expressed appreciation for the projects, describing them as timely interventions that will significantly improve education and healthcare services in Assin Ningo.
The commissioning of the two facilities forms part of broader efforts by the Assin South District Assembly to accelerate socio-economic development and improve the quality of life of residents through strategic investments in education and health infrastructure.
The Assembly has reiterated its commitment to expanding access to quality social services and ensuring that communities across the district benefit from sustainable development initiatives.
