The intervention comes at a critical time, as several schools across the district continue to face furniture shortages. The furniture is expected to fully equip three newly constructed school blocks, while the remaining pieces will be distributed to other schools with urgent furniture needs.

Funded through the 2025 District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF), the initiative underscores the Assembly’s commitment to investing in quality education and ensuring that pupils and students have access to a safe and conducive environment for learning.

During the handover ceremony, the DCE urged the District Education Directorate and school authorities to develop a strong maintenance culture to protect the furniture and ensure that it serves generations of learners.
