Tano North Municipal Assembly Procures 810 Tables and Chairs for Schools

The Tano North Municipal Assembly has procured 810 sets of tables and chairs through the 2025/2026 District Assemblies Common Fund to help address the furniture deficit in basic schools across the municipality.

The furniture is expected to be distributed to selected basic schools to improve the teaching and learning environment and provide pupils with suitable furniture for effective academic work.

The Municipal Chief Executive said the intervention forms part of the Assembly’s broader commitment to improving education infrastructure and ensuring that every child in Tano North has access to a safe, dignified and conducive learning environment.

According to the Assembly, the distribution of the furniture will commence soon, with priority given to schools facing the greatest furniture needs.

The MCE also called on school authorities, teachers, parents and community leaders to ensure the proper use, care and maintenance of the furniture to prolong its lifespan and enable future generations of pupils to benefit from the investment.

The Assembly expressed appreciation to the Government of Ghana and other stakeholders for their continued support towards improving educational infrastructure and enhancing the quality of education in the Tano North Municipality.
