The newly constructed facility, which also includes an attached toilet, is expected to improve teaching and learning conditions in the community.

The project was commissioned by the District Chief Executive, Hon. Gariba Mustapha Mohammed, with support from the District Coordinating Director, Mr. David Dokli, the Acting District Director of Education, Mr. Charles Baah, and the Chief of Manukrom, Nana Owusu Manu II.

Addressing the gathering, Hon. Gariba reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to continuing legacy projects inherited from previous administrations, noting that such projects were funded with state resources and must be completed for the benefit of the people.

He urged the community to take ownership of the facility and ensure its proper maintenance to serve future generations. He further disclosed that the Assembly intends to prioritise the construction of a six-unit classroom block for the community in its next budget.

Mr. Charles Baah commended the Assembly for its continuous support to the education sector through the provision of infrastructure and logistics to enhance effective teaching and learning. He also appealed to the community to maintain the facility.

Nana Owusu Manu II expressed gratitude to the government and the Assembly for the project and assured that the community would take good care of the facility. He, however, appealed to the Assembly to consider constructing a teachers’ bungalow to accommodate staff posted to the area.

Residents of Manukrom expressed appreciation for the intervention, describing the new school block as a major boost to education in the community.
