Offinso North: Tontokrom Breaks Ground on Long-Awaited Six-Unit Classroom Block

Tontokrom, a farming community in the Ashanti Region has taken a major step toward improving education with the official sod-cutting ceremony for a new six-unit classroom block.

The project, which aims to address the community’s long-standing need for better learning facilities, will serve students from Tontokrom and nearby communities once completed. It is expected to boost both teaching and learning outcomes across the area.

DCE highlights education as a priority

Speaking at the event, District Chief Executive Caesar Ofosu Acheampong stressed the importance of quality infrastructure in driving educational progress.

He noted that the classroom block is part of the Assembly’s broader “resetting agenda” to ensure fair and balanced development throughout the Offinso North District.

The facility will also include a headteacher’s office, a staff common room, and a storage space.

Mr. Acheampong urged the contractor to maintain high standards and finish the project on schedule. He reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to investing in projects that secure a better future for local children.

Contractor pledges quality and efficiency

In response, the contractor assured the Assembly and residents of Tontokrom that the work would be delivered on time, noting that efficiency and excellence remain the hallmarks of his operations.

The ceremony drew a diverse crowd, including Assembly members, traditional authorities, community leaders, and residents. Many expressed heartfelt appreciation for the new development, which they see as a game-changer for education in the area.
