The directive followed a site inspection by the DCE, during which concerns were raised over the quality of the ongoing project. The inspection revealed defects that fell below the required construction standards, prompting the Assembly to intervene to safeguard public resources and ensure the delivery of quality infrastructure.

Community members had earlier expressed dissatisfaction with both the location and the quality of the project, calling on the Assembly to address their concerns.

In response, Hon. Mahama Fuseini instructed the contractor to suspend all ongoing works and recommence the project in line with the approved specifications and acceptable construction standards.

The DCE reaffirmed the Assembly's commitment to delivering durable and quality educational infrastructure that provides a safe and conducive learning environment for pupils across the district. He emphasized that contractors executing government projects would be held accountable and expected to adhere strictly to quality standards to ensure value for money.

The intervention underscores the Central Gonja District Assembly's commitment to quality assurance and effective monitoring of public infrastructure projects aimed at improving education in the district.
