The District Chief Executive (DCE) for the area, Sandra Seyram Kpedor said this initiative taken by the assembly aims to address the challenges faced by these communities, which remain off the national electricity grid.

While the pursuit of a full grid connection continues, the newly installed solar lights provide a reliable interim solution.
The DCE noted that installation of these streetlights is expected to brighten the environment by enhancing overall visibility during nighttime, and reducing security risks by making the areas safer for residents.

She said, it facilitate nighttime activities by allowing for safer movement, small gatherings, and evening work.
