Upper East Regional Minister Commissions New JHS Block at Azum-Sapeliga in Binduri

The Upper East Regional Minister, Hon. Akamugri Donatus Atanga, has commissioned a newly constructed Junior High School (JHS) block at Azum-Sapeliga in the Binduri District to improve access to education for children in the community.

Before the construction of the facility, pupils in Azum-Sapeliga had to travel to neighbouring communities, including Gumyoko, Sakpari and Bazua, to attend junior high school, creating additional challenges for learners pursuing their education.

The new school block is expected to bring education closer to the people, reduce the distance pupils travel to school and provide a more accessible learning environment for children in the community.

The project also represents an important step towards expanding educational infrastructure in the Binduri District and ensuring that more children have the opportunity to continue their education beyond the primary level.

The commissioning underscores ongoing efforts to improve access to basic education and create better learning opportunities for pupils in underserved communities across the Upper East Region.
