La Dade Kotopon MCE Outlines Measures to Tackle Sanitation Challenges

The Municipal Chief Executive, Alfredos Nii Anyetei , said the Assembly was implementing a number of pragmatic measures aimed at strengthening sanitation management and creating a cleaner and healthier environment for residents.
He explained that the interventions would include regular clean-up exercises, improved waste collection and disposal, as well as increased monitoring of sanitation conditions in communities and public spaces.
The Assembly is also expected to intensify public education and community engagement to encourage residents to adopt proper waste disposal practices and take greater responsibility for maintaining clean surroundings.
According to the MCE, the Assembly would work closely with traditional authorities, community leaders, residents and other stakeholders to address sanitation challenges and promote sustainable environmental practices.
He further called on residents to support the Assembly’s efforts by keeping their homes and surroundings clean, avoiding indiscriminate dumping of refuse and complying with sanitation regulations.
Mr. Anyetei stressed that improving sanitation required a collective effort, adding that the Assembly remained committed to ensuring a clean, safe and healthy environment for all residents of the La Dade Kotopon Municipality.
