District Chief Executive Manfred Tawiah and Member of Parliament Frank Afriyie jointly presented the contractor to the Goviefe Todzi community, outlining a vision that extends beyond a single road. The project is part of a wider district initiative that includes the Nyagbo Konda Road, Logba Alakpeti–Klikpo Road, and the Logba Vuinta–Leklebi Dafor Road.
Officials say the corridors are vital for easing the movement of goods and people, improving access to health and education facilities, and strengthening local economic activity.
"We are committed to opening up our communities and supporting livelihoods," Tawiah said during the engagement.
The DCE expressed profound appreciation to President John Dramani Mahama for his commitment to improving road infrastructure in Afadjato South and across the Volta Region. He also acknowledged the support of Volta Regional Minister James Gunu for his role in bringing these projects to the district.
Special appreciation was extended to the Agbi family of Goviefe Todzi for their passion for community development and their continuous support for initiatives that advance the area.
Tawiah appealed to the community to cooperate fully with the contractor and workers to ensure the project is delivered smoothly, on schedule, and to a high standard. Residents were urged to support traffic management efforts, safeguard project materials, and help maintain a peaceful working environment.
"We are grateful for the warm reception and the assurances of support from our traditional leaders, opinion leaders, the Agbi family, and the youth of Goviefe Todzi," Tawiah added. "Together, we will continue to work for better roads and a better future for Afadjato South."
