The ceremony, held on Friday, 16th January 2026, was led by the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Wisdom Seade, together with the Member of Parliament for Keta, Hon. Kwami Dzidzorli Gakpey, Assembly Members, and staff of the Keta Municipal Assembly.
The projects include the construction of a three-unit classroom block with an office and store at Atiavi Glime-Atime M/A Basic School, aimed at enhancing teaching and learning conditions and reducing classroom congestion. The second project is the construction of a CHPS Compound with staff accommodation at Seva, which will strengthen access to primary healthcare services for residents and surrounding communities.
Speaking at the ceremony, municipal officials described the projects as critical interventions that will directly impact the quality of life of residents by improving access to education and healthcare at the community level. The initiatives form part of the Assembly’s broader commitment to delivering essential social infrastructure and accelerating local development.
When completed, the projects are expected to improve learning outcomes for pupils, enhance healthcare delivery, and bring essential services closer to the people, reinforcing Keta Municipality’s development agenda.
The sod-cutting marks yet another milestone in the municipality’s efforts to promote inclusive growth and sustainable development.
