The MCE made the commitment when he joined the leadership of the Peace Village and Obeyeyie Landlords/Residents Association at a Town Hall Meeting and sod-cutting ceremony for the construction of the police station project in Peace Village.
The event brought together residents, community leaders and stakeholders to discuss the developmental needs of the area and officially launch a project aimed at strengthening security in Peace Village and adjoining communities.
Addressing the gathering, Hon. Sowah Nai underscored the importance of improving safety and security in the rapidly growing community. In support of the initiative, he donated a number of streetlights to improve visibility and enhance security, particularly during nighttime.
He further announced that the Ga West Municipal Assembly would contribute 100 bags of cement towards the construction of the police station, describing the project as a worthwhile investment in the safety and well-being of residents.
“The Assembly is committed to supporting this important initiative because security remains a key pillar of development. We will continue to work with community stakeholders to ensure the successful completion of the project,” he stated.

Hon. Sowah Nai commended the leadership of the Peace Village and Obeyeyie Landlords/Residents Association for spearheading the initiative, noting that community-led development projects demonstrate the power of collective action.
He emphasized that development is a shared responsibility and encouraged residents to continue working together towards the progress of their communities.
The proposed police station is expected to improve law enforcement presence in the area, enhance public safety, and provide residents with easier access to police services.
The sod-cutting ceremony marks the beginning of what residents hope will become a landmark project that addresses the growing security needs of Peace Village and surrounding settlements.
Hon. Sowah Nai reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to partnering with communities to deliver projects that improve the quality of life of residents, stressing that collaboration remains essential to building a safer, stronger and more prosperous Ga West Municipality.
