DCE Hands Over New Kindergarten Block to Kofi Whettey Community

The District Chief Executive for Awutu Senya West District, Hon. Nyamekye EghanKalala, has officially handed over a newly constructed Kindergarten block to the chiefs and people of Kofi Whettey in the Awutu Beraku area.

The handing-over ceremony, which took place on 6th February 2026, marks another significant milestone in the District Assembly’s efforts to improve educational infrastructure and create a conducive learning environment for children at the basic level.

Addressing the gathering, Hon. Kalala emphasized the Assembly’s commitment to strengthening early childhood education across the district. He noted that investing in the foundation of education is crucial to shaping the future of the district and the nation at large. According to him, providing safe and modern classroom facilities will not only enhance teaching and learning but also encourages higher school enrolment and attendance among young learners.

He urged parents and guardians to take full advantage of the new facility by enrolling their children in school and supporting their academic journey. He further appealed to the community to take good care of the facility to ensure its longevity and sustainability.

The chiefs and residents of Kofi Whettey expressed their profound gratitude to the District Assembly for responding to their long-standing need for a proper Kindergarten block. They described the project as timely and transformative for the community.
