Central Tongu District Commissions New Classroom Block at Kumikpo/Dekpoe

In a significant boost to educational infrastructure, a newly completed three-unit classroom block has been commissioned for the Basic School at Kumikpo/Dekpoe. The facility comes fully equipped with a washroom and a water storage system to enhance sanitation, improve learning conditions, and promote a healthy school environment.

The project was delivered by Pencils of Promise, in partnership with the District Chief Executive, Addison Dodzi Mornyuie, and the local community.

This marks the 14th project executed by Pencils of Promise in Central Tongu, underscoring the organization’s sustained commitment to improving access to quality education within the district.

Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, stakeholders expressed appreciation for the collaborative effort that made the project possible, noting that improved infrastructure plays a critical role in enhancing teaching and learning outcomes.

The new classroom block is expected to reduce congestion, provide a safer and more conducive learning environment, and inspire academic excellence among pupils.

The Assembly extended heartfelt gratitude to Pencils of Promise and all partners for their continued support, reaffirming its commitment to working closely with development partners to strengthen education across Central Tongu.
